UK Ladders Subscription Model Scrapped

As of last Thursday jobseekers wishing to useTheLadders.co.uk site were no longer required to invest in a £10 per month account.  This move is a significant change in the somewhat controversial subscription model.  However, the change is only taking place within the UK.

The move is, at a basic level, to increase the number of jobseekers using the site, to satisfy the growing demand from UK recruiters.  TheLadders will still keep their USP of vetting all CVs so that “human eyes” check and approve all candidates.

It’s early days and elements of the model may change slightly but it’s looking good so far with job applications having shot up 71% in the first 4 days after the change.

I shall report more over the next few weeks as they move from “soft launch” to a more formal rollout
